PVLFC Code of Conduct
All persons representing Plenty Valley Lions Football Club (PVLFC), whether it be in a tournament, competition, event, or other activity sanctioned by PVLFC shall act in accordance with the code and conduct outlined hereunder;
1. Observe and comply with all directions and requests given by team management or any other person appointed by PVLFC;
2. Conduct themselves in a proper manner to the absolute satisfaction of the PVLFC and its delegates so as not to bring themselves, PVLFC or the team generally into public disrepute or censure;
3. Perform all duties and responsibilities as a representative of PVLFC in a mature, fair and professional manner;
4. All persons who are members of a PVLFC team shall at all times act in a sporting manner having regard to principles of fairness and common courtesy and shall refrain from:
1. Directing personal abuse against another player or official on or off the field;
2. Abusing a referee or assistant referee or other official whether directly or indirectly;
3. Dissenting from the direction of referee;
4. On field physical intimidation of another player;
5. Throwing tantrums on or off the field;
6. Striking or threatening to strike any other person; or
7. Abusing equipment;
5. All persons who are representing PVLFC in any capacity as player, coach or other official or representative shall refrain from swearing or using offensive language;
6. All players and team officials whilst players are involved in a competition, tournament or event and immediately prior to a competition, tournament or event are expressly forbidden from consuming alcohol;
7. Both before and whilst involved in competition, tournament or event both players and team officials shall refrain from the smoking of cigarettes or other narcotics whether legal or illegal in the following circumstances:
1. Where other players, officials, administrators or members of the public are affected or are likely to be affected;
2. Where the person is in team uniform or is directly involved in and/or identified as part of an PVLFC representative activity;
3. Where the person is a tour official, they shall expressly desist from smoking at any time when in the presence of players or while wearing PVLFC attire and/or is directly involved in and/or identified as part of an PVLFC representative activity.
8. The PVLFC Board shall assess any reported breach of this code and determine what action ought to be taken, including but not limited to:
1. Suspension from future PVLFC representation for any period deemed appropriate;
2. A life ban from future PVLFC representation.
